Do you have swagger? Do you hold your head high? On mission? Is your gait timid and nervous or confident and bold? Do you walk in peace and kindness?
To become a Rabbi, Jewish boys had to successfully complete four rounds of education. At the end of each round, only the best of the best were chosen to continue their studies, until they reached the end of their schooling and became a Rabbi’s disciple. A disciple had to follow their Rabbi everywhere (Jesus was not the only Rabbi with disciples). Their aim was to not only learn their Rabbi's ways and teachings but to embody and become them.

Powerful, two minute reads that have helped change the script in thousands of people's lives.

“Let thy house be a meeting-house for the wise; and powder thyself in the dust of their feet; and drink their words with thirstiness.“
Walk humbly with your God. Drink his words with thirstiness. A perpetual student.
When Jesus walked the earth, he talked about “The Way.” A new way, a re-born-resurrected way, for humanity to walk. When we walk in His Ways – justice, mercy, humility – we walk somewhat behind him; letting him lead, following in his footsteps. It’s not our individuality or initiative that we surrender in our following, but our pride that blinds us and trips us up. The kind of pride that would keep us from being just and loving mercy. The kind of pride that would blind our faith and keep us small.
But humility – this open hands and open heart precept; this ‘always learning and being led' mentality – makes us strong. YEP, humility IS strength. It provides room for wisdom to grow, it creates opportunities for you to learn, and space to hone and acquire new skills. It helps you stand boldly and confidently after you’ve fallen down and it allows you to ask for help. Humility opens you up to be needed and to need others – contribution. God created us for relationship. And community makes us strong.
However you walk; whether you limp a little or have a long stride, or whether you're quick or little on the slow side, do it humbly. How you walk influences what you see, learn and hear and impacts how you approach people and situations. So take care to notice.

Hey guys!
So thankful for these words <3 😀
I have a question. I have learned because of you that Jesus came in and He had to learn, to grow, being vulnerable and humble. Today I see something new! I mean, the process that a child had to achieve to become a Rabbi was long and hard. So, the question is: Did Jesus walk the same road than others boys? Who was the Rabbi that covered Him?
Surely you understand my intention for asking this. Just left my imagination to fly 🙂
Hugs from DR!
Hey Mario!! hope you are well friend! I love that your imagination has been been ignited in this. A great place to start asking these questions and doing some research, is a website called ourrabbijesus.com
There are many different ideas, suggestions and thoughts about the life Jesus lived before his ministry. And there is very little historical evidence to fill all those years. But its fun and meaningful work to explore what his life involved. Have fun exploring Mario!
