No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. Matt 5:6 (NIV)
This passage actually comes from Isaiah 64 and is a Messianic prophecy. It's alluding to Jesus. To His life and death. To the miracles and the way in which He'd transform humanity. No one could imagine or plan. No one could fathom or see. No person could dream up the strategy that over-arched generations…that followed a lineage. Jesus was born into a perfect time and perfect place to step up to the purpose God had set aside for Him. That time and location couldn't have been more excellent to preserve and amplify a message, the Good News this carpenter-come-Saviour would bring. A gospel message of hope and salvation. Of healing and restoration. One that would empower humans with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the strength of an overcoming spirit. Who could imagine a sandal-wearing boy from the middle-east first century, could set ablaze the ensuing centuries with a message that would fuel people to turn their lives around. To lay their lives down. To fight for the decency and humanity of others. Given all the miraculousness of God's plan through Jesus, there's still more for us to see. After all, we still haven't seen everything He has prepared for us yet! God has incredible things in store for you today. Love Him and watch them unfold…we're praying for the overcomer to rise up within you!
