>“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” – Ephesians 3:18
I haven't been a Christian all my life. I was 22 when I first asked Jesus to come into my heart. Before that I was living without any real interest and consequently, no revelation of God. But now that I think about it, there was no way to get an understanding of Him…I'd never had relationship with Him! It was when I made the decision that EVERYTHING CHANGED! It was literally like scales had been removed from my eyes and a huge weight from my shoulders. The sense of love was so overwhelming that in the first few months I would catch myself crying often. It was in the relationship with God that I found the power to understand & respond to His love. Two points: 1) If you haven't already, I want to encourage you to invite Jesus into your life. Not haphazardly, but genuinely seek Him. You won't regret it and you'll never be the same! 2) Don't judge or criticise those who haven't yet experienced God's love. They can't & won't understand without supernaturally experiencing Him. Judgement and “fight back” from Christians only further cements that we are hypocrites and no different to anyone else. Loving them where they are at by understanding they can't yet see God's love is the only way! After all isn't that what God has done for us? Have the best day friends…
