And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Cor 9:8 (NKJV)
No other translation quite says it like the NKJV! Where other versions say “God will provide for you…” this version says “…all grace will abound toward you…” God's provision in our lives is His grace. What we need, more than anything, is His mercy and unfailing love but sometimes we chase after His physical providence. And sometimes we don't even look to Him for the source of it. I, for one am G.U.I.L.T.Y! I have to keep coming back to His grace and His love. Seeking His face and not His hand. Every part of my flesh (read ‘pride') wants to work it out and make it on my own, but He wants to be part of the journey. He wants the relationship. He wants to help. To provide. After all, He is the Creator of all that we see. He owns the “cattle on a thousand hills”. Without Him it's going to be an uphill battle trying to achieve those cattle! But He graciously provides, knowing what we need. To perform the good works He has prepared for us. I often say He's like a boss who sets us the job and keeps the stationery cupboard full! There's always going to be enough supplies to get the job He assigns us done. God graciously provides. It's His grace, although we deserve much less, that supplies us fully to overflowing. It's by His grace that we have what we do have. We tend to look at those that have more than us and compare. “If only I had almost as much as them…” I find myself saying. But we don't often ‘compare' down. Look at those with less than us…which is most of the world, might I add! When we do this it gives us a “real” perspective of our wealth…of all that God has graciously provided. Of all that we have to be thankful for. Today compare down…not up…and get a genuine revelation of His love and grace for your life and those around you! We love you and want to see you flourish into all your can be! God bless ya…
