This picture is the Caretakers Lodge for the Lighthouse we featured a while ago. It's quite close to where we live and I love walking around there when I have a day off. Just a bit of trivia…
One thing I find has dwindled away, in today's society, is “stickability” – you know…perseverance, a do-or-die attitude, the ability to commit until the end. We live in an ‘instant gratification' world and if it take more than 30 seconds to warm up in the microwave, then it's not worth fighting for. We give up. It's such a deception from the enemy.
God has actually created us for eternity which means we better get used to passages of time and things actually taking a while. Not that it's going to be boring or painful…no…not at all! But what this verse is actually saying here, in Psalm 27, is that despite calamity and destruction knocking at our door, we're not going to give up trusting in God and believing He will be our breakthrough. Even if much time passes between your problem and your provision, be a person who sticks it out…someone who stays the course and finishes the race. I don't know what's knocking on your door today but whatever it is…DON'T GIVE UP! That's exactly what the enemy is trying to get you to do…don't let him win but allow Jesus to give you strength (Phil 4:13) to overcome and see your victory come to pass! You can do it…we know you can and we're believing with you and for you!
“One thing I desire; to dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER!” (Ps 27:4) – Take on this day with boldness! We love you…
