But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. 2 Tim 4:17 (NLT)

This is one of the last things Paul had written before he was martyred. He was speaking here about a particular situation he faced when he was abandoned by men, but rescued and empowered by Jesus. Empowered to stand and preach – fulfil his purpose – and rescued from certain death. What an incredible story and picture this verse paints.

Whatever it is God is asking you to do – maybe it's in regards to purpose and destiny, maybe it's about forgiveness and restoration, or a decision you have to make… Whatever is before you, He will stand with you and give you the strength you need to fulfil the call He has created you for. You may feel like the situation you’re facing is too big and overwhelming, too hard and problematic… Maybe you think you’re not smart enough, good enough or liked enough – whatever… But the truth is, Jesus is with you and He will stand beside you through any situation or circumstance. He will empower you to walk through whatever is to come.

As we looked at yesterday, 2 Cor 12:10 says “When I am weak, then I am strong”. When you feel like falling apart, when you feel alone and at the end of your rope – look to Jesus and allow Him to fill you with strength. Watch Him rescue your heart and continue to fulfil His purpose in and through you. So, shoulders back, head high, look to Jesus and stand tall in His grace and love… Praying for ya.
