As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Eph 4:1 (NIV)

Ephesians 3 talks about how loved, strengthened, and complete we are in Jesus, and it finishes off with “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20).

It's followed with Eph 4:1… ‘Live a life worthy of your call'. We automatically start thinking of that in terms of works… doing good. Which it absolutely means in a practical sense, and then Eph 4 goes on to talk about how we should conduct our lives. ‘Living worthy' is not about perfection… perfect ‘ways' or being amazing do-gooders – but being authentic, genuine people who acknowledge that we are sinners in need of a Saviour, and that it’s His Grace and love in our lives that makes the difference.

We don't have to ‘be good' to be accepted or loved.

We are loved, we are empowered and we are strengthened like it says in Eph 3, and from that foundation, that platform and atmosphere, we are able to live a life worthy of the call. You are called – destined and purposed – for such a time as this. So grab onto that purpose and give it all you've got. When you stuff up, repent… when you fall down, get back up… when you need some help, ask… This is what living worthy of your call looks like. He has provided all we need to do it, so I encourage you today to simply start living the life you're called to.

Step out in faith, not in perfection – but in relationship with Jesus Christ whose “mighty power is at work within you”. Love you guys…
