If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5)
To be perfectly honest, I ask God for His wisdom and advice on the biggest and smallest details of my life. Like marrying my wife or buying our house right down to “help me find my keys Lord”.
He wants to be in relationship with us and cares about the smallest details about our lives…and He also has access to infinite knowledge about everything so the benefits of being connected to Him are availability to His treasury of wisdom.
It's just illogical to do life without it but it takes discipline to STOP doing it on your own. What is discipline? Day-in and day-out practice. It's repetition and reminding yourself what to do…which is ‘ask God'.
Is your job frustrating you? Ask God what the next move is, follow the peace and then trust Him! Don't know which path to take in your career or relationships? Ask God who gives generously! At a red light and don't know which way to turn? Ask God!
Actually driving is a really good analogy for how different people get along in life. Some people drive aimlessly around, going wherever the traffic takes them. Other's have direction and purpose in their driving and have a destination in mind and work the traffic to get to their destination. Still other's have GPS and SatNav's telling them, turn by turn, where to go next.
See with GPS you see the big picture at the start but then your travel on the journey by taking moment by moment instructions. This is the most effective way to live as Christians, trusting God in the moment by moment situations.
Most of us don't ask though and we switch back over to ‘control' mode where our fate and direction is solely upon the shoulders of our own wisdom. It's so much better to ask for wisdom from above as it has insight into your real purpose on this planet and how to realise it.
Today, in every decision, don't just trust in what you can do but what God has on offer…what He's already done and how you fit into that plan now…love you guys! Have a splendid day 🙂

This is just what I needed today. It is so hard to let go and let God. There are days that I feel like I should “bother” God with my petty issues. My inner voice tells me, “Are you kidding?! He doesn’t have time for that! You just take care of it and He can work on the bigger, more important issues”. I know that I need Him in every aspect of my life. I just have to remind myself that I’m not an annoyance to Him. He wants to help me and watch me flourish into who He created me to be. God bless!
