“Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing.” – Isa 40:26
Today's words come from our good friend @tombrett – a great mate, a brilliant drummer and a passionate God-follower!
Be honest…how many of you read this and focused on the grandeur of the stars? And its true, they are grand! However in the passage, Isaiah encourages us to look up and “see WHO has created them”. The stars and the expanse of space are incredible and the more science searches, the more we find out there is. In Gods glorious might and power He created & named them all with purpose. Thats a fantastic revelation alone! However, God in his poetic genius goes one better. By encouraging us to look to the Creator. I don't feel lost in this ‘epicness' of God, being just 1 of the 7 odd billion on a tiny plant called Earth. Rather, I find myself overwhelmed in the revelation that God, who created such complex beauty, that which I could never come to comprehend, is passionately interested in the intricate parts of my life and created me for a purpose.
Today, be encouraged by and seek out the purpose in which God has created you for! Praying you have the best day!
