This passage of scripture found in Isaiah 40:12 is titled “The Lord who has no equal'… That's something to ponder in and of itself. We live in a coastal town in Australia that has arguably one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the country. I love to sit on top of the hill that overlooks the beach and surf break and watch the waves roll in. On a calm day its serene, beautiful… On a stormy day, the water swirls and rages and crashes onto the beach with such power… There's no way I would enter the water on a day like that. But the Lord, who has no equal, holds this beach, the ocean, it's waters and all it contains in His hands. Calm or stormy, peaceful or raging… it is no match for God. He is Lord of all the earth, great and mighty, mysterious and awesome… There is nothing, no one, no experience, no amount of money, no power on earth or otherwise that can compare with Him. Yet, still, in all His greatness, in all His power and might, He desires to dwell in our hearts and call us His own. Whatever your facing today – good or bad… Decisions to make, a future to prepare… The Lord who has no equal is for you not against you, has a future and a hope for you, and has and will make a way for you. Trust, follow, and serve the Lord who holds the oceans in His hands…
