In a society that builds itself around “I believe it if I can see it”, the power of ‘believing' and ‘faith' can easily get lost in the crowd. I so easily fall back, lean on and trust in what I can see, understand and analyse with my human eyes and understanding… So many people live in this restricted sphere of self reliance and self built knowledge. I find it a continual check to keep myself out of the land of ‘sight guidance' and into the land of Faith – God guidance. In the NLT, 2 Cor 5:7 says “for we live by believing and not by seeing” – in the NKJ “we walk by faith and not by sight.” It reminds me of a scene out of ‘Indianna Jones and the Last Crusade' where Indianna needs to step out on a ledge in order to save his life… Except he cannot see the ledge, he must trust by faith that it is there – he steps out and lands on solid ground. Every time you step out in faith and obedience to the word of God, you will land on the solid ground of His will being fulfilled in your life. The solid ground of Grace. What are you believing for today? Do you just live day by day according to what you can see? Living on the continual merry go round of the tangible and material? Whatever you hope for for the future, whatever you need, live by believing… Add belief to your day… Do you need provision??? Believe that can God can meet all your needs. Do you need healing? Believe that He rose with healing in His wings. Do you need hope for today and tomorrow? Believe that He has a future and Hope for you! Live by faith – not just by what you can see. There is so much more around you and within than what you can see… Open the eyes of your spirit and heart by activating faith – step out, take courage, believe… Living by faith always leads you to the solid ground of Grace.
