“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)

The word ‘wait' here doesn't mean to ‘wait' on the Lord in a serving sense. Nor does it mean to stand around drumming your fingers waiting for Him to show up or do something. The word ‘wait', in its original context here in the Psalm, means “to look for, hope, expect, wait eagerly…” Its a verb… an action, something that we actively do. Wait on the Lord. Place yourself in the position of expectant hopeful waiting. Whatever prayer is in your heart today, or need you have in your life, concerns weighing on your heart and mind, questions you're asking, wisdom you need… wait on the Lord. Look to Him eagerly, full of hope and great expectation of His strength and might. Pull yourself up with courage, hold your head high by grace and wait for the Lord to perform wonders, answer prayers, give wisdom, bring comfort… He is there and He will strengthen your heart. Have an awesome day friends – you can do it!
