As Christians, our eyes are beautifully opened to the reality of a spiritual world beyond a physical existence however often we stay ignorant to the fact that there's a war on. The Devil deceptively stole (he is a thief) dominion over this world and humanity in the Garden of Eden. But Jesus is God's plan for winning it back. Notice God doesn't use the deceptive trickery to get humanity back on side. He is accountable and transparent. He creates a plan and asks us to follow it. The choice remains ours. It's like parking at a mall or shopping centre. It's going to cost you UNLESS you get your parking ticket validated. The cost of remaining ignorant to Satan's dominion is a life that is pillaged by a thief. The way to redeem your ‘free parking' is to present yourself before God and to accept that Jesus has validated the ticket. The enemy keeps most Christians “paying” for parking that is ultimately been paid for – using guilt and shame, he makes us pay for what Jesus has paid for already. We said yesterday that there's “no condemnation for those is Christ” (Rom 8:1) so don't allow the life that Jesus has come to give you, be robbed by a dirty, rotten, scoundrel of a thief. If you struggle with sin, it's been paid for! Ask God to help you overcome it and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you out of it…He promises to be your strength (Phil 4:13). Don't try and do it on your own – it'll ‘steal' the life from you and ‘rob' you of joy. Choose a full life today and claim back the joy and hope that is rightfully yours through Jesus.
