>We've been doing a series on fear, and we felt this scripture was a great way to finish… Psalm 56:3 “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” When I was younger, and even now that I'm married with kids, I often lie awake in fear of things that ‘go bump' in the night. I have a vivid imigination, so in my mind, even the slightest shift of wind turns into a horde of robbers storming my castle. It always made me feel safer to have my parents, and now my husband, at home to help keep the fear at bay. I trusted them to keep me safe. Quite simply today, when you are afraid, when you get news that chills you to the bone, when your future is uncertain, when you're not sure what direction to take and you're terrified of what may happen – whatever it is, allow that fear to drive you to the feet of Jesus in complete surrender and trust. Don't let fear complete it's work in you and freeze you still and motionless, crippling your spirit… But Trust Jesus. He will keep your heart, future, and destiny safe when, by trust, you place them in His hands. It goes on to say in V4 “I praise God for what He has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?” When faced with your fears today, literally speak the promises of God over them and Trust in Him. Peace and love friends xo
