But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. – Isa 25:4 (NLT)

Despite the bad wrap He gets in secular society, everything about God's nature is generous. When you study the word and look at Biblical history, God makes every effort to bridge the gap between Himself and people. Jesus is the big example but even down to every day life and the small things, God want's to provide for us. It's comes form the generous nature of His character. That's why I believe that the poor and needy are very dear to God's heart, and because God has a heart for them, so should we. Every time you and I come across a person in need, we have an opportunity to glorify God. One of the main purposes for our existence is to take our lives and make them shine God's glory. When we do this it fills us with such great sense of fulfilment – it resonates deep within us – because this is the way we were intrinsically designed. You wouldn't get the best out of a Ferrari driving it on a bush track because it wasn't designed to drive there! The same with you and I, when we go about living life for ourselves, life feels all bumpy and out of place because there's a lack of purpose and fulfilment. Today I challenge you to take action and help fill the need in humanity – it seems like a huge task but in-fact we just need to start with helping one person. You are making a difference and you are fulfilling your purpose. Much love today…
