But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (Luke 12:48 NIV)
Romans says that the wages of sin (which Jesus paid the price in full for us) is death! Imagine if the bank came along and said “you owe us so much money, we're going to have to take your life”. It's the ultimate cost…there is no higher price! So we can all agree that Jesus paid the most expensive price for each one of us. That being said, if you know Jesus you have much! There is no point having priceless riches and not spending it. I love what Matt 5:15(NLT) says “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” So it is, with the much we've been given, in Jesus…let it light your world and light up others! Light is very generous by its nature. It's hard to contain and wants to spill all over whatever it comes in contact with. That's a great picture of what we need to be like. Darkness does just the opposite. It wants to suck the “light” out of everything. Fear is like darkness and fear is the single biggest motivating factor for people NOT sharing their faith these days. God has not given us a spirit of fear only power, love and a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7. So we take the love we have in Christ, the priceless value. We allow it to shine, fearless of what others think or say, and let it spill and wash over every person we meet and connect with. This is doing much with the much you were given! God bless you today…
I needed to hear this today, thank you! Bless xx
