John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
It's Mothers Day here in Australia, not sure what's happening in other countries, but take some time today to honour and bless your mum. The Bible talks about there being a specific blessing when you honour your parents. There's only one way to be born into this earth – through your mum. It's because of her that you are here today. This passage in John 14 shows that there is only way to our Heavenly Father. It's not about what you can do – you can't work your way into right relationship with God – its all about what Jesus has done for you. He has made a way. No matter what your earthly parents or situation and experience is like, you have God, the Father, wanting to nurture and care for you. He has a future and a hope for you, and longs to be in relationship with you. People try many different things and go down many paths trying to reach God and the pinnacle of happiness, but there is only one way – through Jesus – and the door has been flung wide open to any and all who would walk through it. So today, as you honour your mum, take a moment to honour God the Father by thanking Jesus for making a way, for being the way, for opening the door to relationship with God. Love you guys lots!
