Walking on Water – Faith Leap Series – Part 2 - Pocket Fuel on Matthew 14:29Most Popular PktFuel.com post: Walking on Water » (from the Faith Leap Series)

As all Jewish boys did, Peter had started Rabbi training at a young age. The fact that he was now a fisherman meant that he had not made the Rabbi cut. He was sent from school back to his family to learn his father’s trade. Only the best of the best of the best were permitted to continue their Rabbi training.

When Peter first met Jesus that day by the lake, and Jesus asked him,
“Follow me?”
Peter heard: “I believe in you, you can do this, you have what it takes to learn my ways.”

On the DVO App: We're revisiting a series this week called “Eager Expectations” based out of Romans 8:22 – “With eager expectation, all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming.” Download it here for iOS and here for Android.

Music I'm Loving: I'm loving this Soft Classical playlist on Spotify. Helps soothe my mind at the end of a brain-draining day!

Quote we've been pondering:

“Memory believes before knowing remembers. Believes longer than recollects, longer than knowing even wonders.”

Book I Am Loving: This week I've been reading “Influence” by Robert Cialdini and I'm so keen now, to read his next book “Pre-Suasion“. I was particularly interested in reading “Influence” to understand how humans are influenced so powerfully by marketing techniques such as reciprocation, concession and social proof. It's amazing how much we (humans) will cling on to faulty logic if a group of people around us demonstrate it as acceptable. Which leads me to my favourite video this week…

Fave Video: This video shows how easily we can fall victim to social proof, and conform our behaviours, even beyond logical explanation, when “group think” is engaged. Check it out.

I mostly listen to books using Audible. (I've listened to over 90 books in the last 2 years!) Signup now and get two books free without any obligation.
