No star is unseen or unknown.

God knows each one by name.
God counts the stars and the hairs on our head (Luke 12:7). He knows the world completely from start to finish and is intimately acquainted with each detail… He is in the details.

God told Abraham to look up into the night sky… “Count the stars Abraham…” He told him.

Cos in a sky full of stars, perhaps Abraham caught a glimpse of the heart of God…

If you’re quiet long enough to listen, if you’re still long enough to notice, you’ll find God weaved throughout all creation. He speaks through it, showing us the wonders of His greatness and the expanse of His attention.

Science and faith don’t have to be at odds with each other.

If you’re still long enough to notice, you’ll find God weaved throughout all creation. Click to Tweet

In our world of towns, cities, cars, businesses, houses, invention, innovation, church buildings, museums, libraries, iPads, iMacs, smartphones, bank accounts, buses, bridges and an infinite amount of more; with all the distractions around us, it can be easy to look past creation, the world around us, the world that we physically live in and build our life upon, as something of no consequence.

Or something to be used up and discarded however and whenever we want or deem beneficial. Material at our disposal. But creation is a gift. One that bears a story.

Just as the artist knows his life’s work, every brush stroke and color, the final result telling a story to all who would dare see and hear… creation yearns for us to see the wonders of God painted all over it, on grand display, right before our eyes.

The hope found in a sunrise, the relief felt at sunset, the cool rush of the ocean, birdsong in the afternoon, fields offering their harvest, stars shining beauty upon us…

And then, in the experiments and the laboratories and in quantum physics and more… God can be found there, too.

Step outside and look around. Get quiet and still and hear the natural rhythms of the Divine beating all around you. Revel in this beautiful masterpiece.

And then know that YOU, not it, are His eternal work…

Whether you’re buried deep in a city or town, perched high in an office, surrounded by a ton of stuff, or are somewhere alone in a vast field – God, who knows the stars, knows and sees you. And he thinks to himself:

“It’s such a heavenly view.”

Your turn… what do your hear when you're quiet? Leave us your comments below.
