“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ (Matthew 25:45 NLT)

When Jesus says ‘least' in this passage, He's really speaking to our sin-nature which automatically compares and ranks things. See when we look at people we begin judging them immediately. We rank and file things based on their looks or social standing. Jesus, on the other hand, doesn't rank anything or anyone differently. John 3:16 teaches us that He values every person with the same price…His whole life! Next time you're in the check-out queue or walking down a busy street, take a moment to take in all the lives before you. To Jesus, they are worth the same price that you are, which means we need to treat people with the same value we'd treat ourselves. Believe it or not, that person that really really hurt you, Jesus loves them as much as you! OK, so you don't need to give that person a foot-rub but you do need to forgive them and treat them with the dignity that every human life deserves. Jesus did it for the tax collector, the prostitute, the leper, and the paralytic and so should we! Living life like this empowers us since we are all connected. Today our challenge is simple but not easy…look at people through the eyes of Jesus and treat them with that same love He has for them! Have a totally blessed day! Thanks for joining us again today… Much love.
