The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Rom 8:16 (NIV)

Testifying always depends on the credibility of the witness because a testimony is the representation of someone’s perspective of the situation in question. If a witness has a proven track record of accuracy, they become a reliable witness whose testimony is valuable.

This being said, the Holy Spirit was sent as our comforter and guide. When someone comforts, say a good friend, you treasure and value their witness. Whether it is spoken or unspoken, just their very presence speaks of esteem and worth.

When you’re on a journey and have a guide accompanying you, you heed their advice – their testimony. Given their authority and experience in a foreign land, you allow them to lead you so as to stay on the right track; to avoid the pitfalls and take in the scenery.

So it is with the Holy Spirit when we allow Him to be our guide and comforter. His voice testifies to our value; a son or daughter of the Most High, in the process of encouraging and leading us.

Every word of comfort exudes and punctuates our heavenly position, and every directive our divine value in Him. It is because of this value He sent a comforter and guide. It’s because of His great love, the genuine love of a true father, that He wants whats best for us. Through thick and thin.

Testimony of the Holy Spirit aside, He is one true gift of the Father to keep us pointed and headed toward Himself… like a king sending a convoy escort to bring home his beloved. Like a beacon calling us home.

Everything about the testimony of the Holy Spirit speaks of your value in Christ – your position as a child of the King. When you find you're wavering in your own esteem, allow the Holy Spirit to speak, to comfort and guide, and the revelation of your true and eternal value will become bold and clear.

We sincerely love you… have the best day!
