And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev 12:11 (NKJV)
2 Tim 3:12 says “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” That’s comforting don't you think? Just kidding! The Name of Jesus has power and it makes those given over to the power of the enemy tremble! That fear outworks itself in many ways, some of which include aggression and attack. But your testimony is your offence! It's like a sword that cuts down arguments, reasoning, and subjectivity that comes against your faith.
This passage in Rev 12 says that ‘they overcame by the blood of the lamb (read ‘Jesus and His sacrifice') and their testimony' which is your story – your experience of God's redeeming love and grace. The miracles you've seen. The hope that got you through. The burden that was lifted. Celebrate and re-remember those events over and over again in your mind. Let them stay fresh and alive so that you can draw from them when your faith comes under pressure. You may've heard this before but no one can argue with your testimony… Why? Because it is yours. You had the experience and felt the emotions which were undeniable to you. No one knows the detailed intricacies of what happened to you like you do. You will overcome with your testimony and His powerful sacrifice for you. Just keep both those fresh in your mind…always!
