The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him… (2 Chron 16:9)

This passage was in reference to King Asa, who bargained a treaty with his enemy. He put his trust in another king and tried to secure his future in his own strength. Often we do the same thing. We re-order, move things around and plan things with our own strength, our own understanding and our own knowledge; without factoring God into the situation. Prov 3:5 says “trust in the Lord…and lean not on your own understanding…then your paths will be straight…” Want to secure your future? Then place it in the hands of God. Allow Him to have voice to the direction you take, even in the most uncertain situations. Do you think Joshua knew how his little army could defeat Jericho? When God said “shout and the walls will come down” do you think his natural understanding was telling him to go for it? Actually His relationship with God and his experience that God always delivers a promise is what helped him override his own reasoning. Faith in God is like a muscle you exercise and the more you trust God, the more you know you can. Ps 34:7 say “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”. Today, commit yourself to seeking Him and He will strengthen you. Allow Him to be part of your decision making processes and He will secure you. Love you guys immensely!
