Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Prov 22:6)

Its the last day of Compassion week. We LOVE Compassion and hope that some of you have taken the time to check out the amazing work they do with children and families all over the world in their divine quest to “Release Children from poverty in Jesus Name”. All children should get the opportunity to start out in life with strength and dignity. Unfortunately this is not always the case. I read today that “1.4 billion people in developing countries live on $1.25 a day or less”… world hunger and poverty, the displacement of families and the growing number of refugees, the lack of access to basic sanitation and education that much of the world suffers should not be ignored. The abuse that countless children suffer, in all forms, from people who SHOULD be protecting them, not exploiting them, in the developed and developing world should not be a silent, unseen and un-fought issue. As adults, I believe we have a divine responsibility to, yes, bring up our own children well – make sure they are loved, healthily disciplined, and empowered – but also to stand up for the voiceless, the innocent and the vulnerable everywhere. Imagine if all the children in the world had food in their bellies, love in their arms, peace in their heart, knowledge and strength in their minds… what a different place the future would be. The entirety of it is overwhelming… but you can make a difference one life at a time. Love you guys – be encouraged to “be the change you want to see in the world”… xxoo
