Imagine finding favour before God, so much so that He entrusted His lineage to you! Mary (the mother of Jesus) could hardly believe it and I think many of us would be the same.
But here’s the kicker. God could not destroy the power of sin-nature through the union of two sin-natured beings. He had to intercede and the power of God overcame the power of the other sin-natured party. Mary carried inside her a child that was fully Divine.
This cosmic collision, a majestic and holy intersection of humanity and the eternal, forever changed the course of creation’s destiny. The path on which each of us was heading got headed off! The bloodline of a broken humanity was infiltrated by the seed of Abraham.
I know there are many people who look at their family, their history and their ancestry and say to themselves, “I know where I’m heading!” BUT that very same holy intersection has been made in you and so now the eternal, sin-destroying power dwells, pulsates and resonates inside you.
It has changed your lineage forever.
What you once thought was impossible for you, is now possible.
What failings and curses that have plagued your family tree are now levelled.
They key is to see yourself as God sees you. Restored and redeemed.
If you keep visualising yourself as broken, you will live from that bloodline. But if you see yourself as made righteous (which is not a condition that can be undone!) then you will act and respond accordingly.
And those actions and responses will propel you into a future in which the blessings and fruit rightfully belong to the bloodline of holy royalty.
I’m sure I know which future you desire. Your part is to realise and acknowledge who you really belong to!
