“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 NLT)

Apart from being a line in one my favourite songs, this is one my favourite scriptures. It's rather romantic – the thought of being ‘set apart', called out, chosen. And it's the way God sees you. Before you were born, He had purpose for you – a person for you to be, and things for you to do. He has set you apart, divinely chosen the here and now to be graced by your purpose and presence, chosen you to be a messenger of hope and a person who is all heart and all truth to the world and people around you. We focus so much on how much God loves us – which is awesome – but it can become very introspective and self focused. But Gods love is purposeful. In fact I think ALL love is not love unless it empowers people to be and do great things. I love my kids so much, more than I love my own life. But that makes me want to see them be fulfilled, do great things, be all that can be – my love for them should empower them to take on the world and overcome. Gods love for you is more so – it's full of purpose. He has set you apart – you – and chosen you because He loves you and wants to see you fulfilled – be full of purpose and direction. So today, get up, dust yourself off from your current frustrations and hurts knowing that His love is all you need and it will empower you to be all you were created to be. Love you guys, have the best day
