And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Heb 11:6 (ESV)
Rewards don’t come without risk and faith, in natural terms, is just that…risky business! What comes with risk is fear and fear is always behind us NOT stepping out in faith. In supernatural terms there’s no risk in faith when it’s linked to God’s word… the only thing not assured us is the delay between the exercising of faith and the outcome of it. That’s why faith and patience are often interlinked in the word of God. Some theologians even consider them the ‘power twins’ and inseparable.
Some people try to seek God with knowledge and understanding, God knows even I’m guilty of that, but the account in Genesis reveals that God created everything with words of faith, not words of understanding. His promise is that when we seek Him in faith He will reward us. Reward us with His presence where joy can be found, where strength abides and love covers. Reward us with vision, purpose and hope for our future. Reward us with overcoming power, a fresh start and ultimate salvation. Who wants the reward? Just take the step of faith! Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
Risky business aint so risky in God’s economy…it’s just a waiting game! Choose to live life by faith today and you’ll be rewarded! Expect today to be incredible…
