What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:15 NLT)

The Lord said this directly to Jacob in a place he had called Bethel during a dream. In this dream Jacob saw a stairway connecting earth and heaven with Angels descending and ascending on it. God spoke to him during this dream, giving him great promises. After Jacob had witnessed this, he said “surely this is very house of God” – which is what the word ‘bethel' means. Even though his birthright and blessing was controversial (stolen from his brother), when he stepped out up under the blessing and commission of the Father, God was with him. He thought he was in the middle of nowhere, sleeping on rocks, but after the dream he could see that he was in fact in the presence and dwelling place of God. When you step out commissioned by God, under his blessing and mantle – he will be with you, and he will complete in you what he started. Whatever God is asking of you – maybe it's something to do, or something to be, to say, to forgive… I encourage and challenge you to go for it. Step out under his commission and mantle… Obey under His blessing and in His presence. He goes before, He is with you, and He protects from behind. Our God – who watches over us and His word to perform it, who enlists his angels to be his messengers in the earth – is surely with you and will finish what he has begun. Just stay the path, keep on going, don't stop believing. Love you guys!
