OK…so we do our best each day to bring you a challenge through encouragement…but today I really feel to lay the challenge on hard! Hopefully there's enough encouragement to soften the blow! Here we go…I love this verse as it clues us on to how things really are…we are undoubtably connected with every person and everything! It's impossible to say that who you are is completely unaffected by the rest of humanity…because you are! And at much deeper levels than the eye reveals! That being said you have a responsibility to your brothers and sisters on this planet to be whole and healthy. Not insecure or self focused. Jesus has called us to be salt and light. Salt gives of itself to flavour what surrounds it. Light emits from within to penetrate the dark it dwells in. They're both selfless substances giving from their abundance. When you're caught up in your own agendas you'll always be introspective and inward focused and if you're stuck there, then that's an impossible place to give from. To heal others from. To help others from. You are intimately connected to others so in helping them, you're achieving what a self-focused person desires anyway, just with a greater outcome. Two instead of one. Get solid with the fact the God wants you blessed in every sense…it's not about you though, it's about having a trough full for others to feed from! If you've wrestled with the same hurts, or fears, or insecurities for a long time, make a decision right now to do something about it! Get help and get healthy…the sooner you do, the sooner you can make a difference in other peoples lives. God is your strength and He will fill your cup to overflowing – you just have to get rid of the junk in it so it'll hold more – so you can overflow more!
