Fear is such a weapon of the enemy… Sometimes it fills you abruptedly, other times it weaves itself unknown around your heart and squeezes the confidence right out of you before you even know it. Fear will make you think and do all kinds of crazy and irrational things. When driven by fear, it overrides your normal senses and inhibits your decision making capabilities. Some would say the opposite of fear would be courage or strength, but fears kryptonite is the Love of God. 1 John 4:18 says “There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but perfect love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love.” Your fears aound your health, the silent fear around your self worth and confidence, the fear of tomorrow, of not finding love or loosing it, the fear of what may happen to your children, of what will happen if people find out your secrets… Your fears, the things that keep you up at night and blind you during the day, can all be expelled – shown the door – when you understand the fullness, power, hope, grace, completeness, confidence, strength and the eternal capacity of the Love of God and that that love belongs to you. You are loved by the Saviour of the universe, the creator of all and the God who reigns eternal. Fear has no place in your heart when it is fully occupied by the Love of God.
