In the Garden, God said “don't touch” of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, to Adam and Eve. He could've just put a fence around it…and maybe a security guard as well but that goes against the intrinsic nature of wiring us like Him. We are ‘made in His image' and this likeness is free, creative choice, so for God to give us this and then revoke it goes against His Word, which never returns to Him void (Isa 55:11). Stopping us from doing the ‘wrong thing' is impossible for Him however He can guide us on His way, which is perfect, when we give Him permission! It means handing over control of your life to Him. His Word and ways are flawless and perfect so there's no need to be afraid. Fear is the spirit the enemy gives you to separate you from God's flawless and perfect plan. In Romans 12 Paul ‘pleads' with us to give our bodies (read every part of living and being) to God as living sacrifices. “It's then,” he goes onto say, that we learn God's perfect (also ‘good and pleasing') will for our lives! Paul says that this will change the way we think and that its truly the way to worship Him. You probably know many people who've done life their own way and messed things up good and proper…maybe you've done the same! Today we challenge you to ‘give God permission'…not only today but for all time! His way may not make sense today in your earthly understanding but He lives in eternity and has an eternal perspective. His way is perfect and His word flawless. Live in it…it's the most exciting and powerful way to live. Today is going to be brilliant for you…we believe in you.
