Ever been to restaurant and someone looks at the menu and says “that looks good”? What's weird is that they're judging the taste of something by the way it's written on a page. They're using their eyes o determine what they're mouth will enjoy. This passage says quite the opposite, we have to TASTE of God to SEE that He's good. In most encounters I've had with non-Christians, they get caught up on the judgement of God or the unfairness of God. Now God is neither unfair nor hanging out to judge us all, but unless you taste you won't see this. Once again this baffles the non-Christians. “How can I speak to, follow or believe in a God I can't see? I need proof before I believe!”. Spiritually, we are BLIND until we TASTE! When you taste of God it opens up an explosion of flavours to be seen and experienced. To not taste leaves you in the dark and without hope. Heb 11:6 shows us it's impossible to come to God, to know or understand Him, without faith. But what is faith? It's the substance of hope and the evidence of things not seen! (Heb 11:1). If your waiting to see what God is like before you taste of Him…you're gonna be hanging for a while. Stop waiting and start tasting…it will literally change you life…for the best!
