At the close of every service at our Church, our Pastors pray this verse over the congregation. Numbers 6:24-26 “May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” Today we want to pray it over you, your family and whatever's going on in your life.
It was 2 years after the Israelites left Egypt and Moses was giving the people instruction directly from God on how to bring their offerings to Him. Every time the people brought an offering, the priests were commanded to pray this blessing over them. Numbers goes on to say ‘whenever the priests bless the people, [the Lord himself] will bless them.’
Gods heart towards the Israelites and you was and always is blessing, progress, family (connection and belonging), grace, divine favor and grounding peace. When we lean into Him… commit our lives as an offering, we can expect to receive the fullness of the Father and His blessing in our lives. Not because we’ve bought it, but because relationship allows the freedom of heart transaction from one to another. You can’t expect there to be a flow of relationship, if you’re not connected and committed. So be encouraged and challenged today, lean in, bring an offering, commit your heart and life to Father.
