“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.” 1 Peter 4:8-9 is a beautiful but challenging piece of scripture. When we live with an open hand towards others – opening up our hearts, our homes, our lives…the impact is deep and life changing. It's so often in this day that we size people up and allocate their worth according to how they dress, what they do, their health, their ethnicity, by how they worship, where they live, how they live and so on… We attribute people's value based on a physical and temporal economy. But LOVE… Love looks beyond these things. It doesn't not see them, it isn't blind to failings and heartache, it simply supercedes them, covering them with the eternal value that Christ Jesus has set upon every human being. Let the love of Christ be the value system you use today, for yourself and others. Huge LOVE to you.
