“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” (Matthew 1:23 NLT)
As Christmas day draws ever nearer, and the shopping gets more hectic, plans are made – changed – and made again, parties to attend… There is so much to do… So much to focus on…
Be encouraged – in the midst of all the lights, the shopping, the parties, and presents, God is here… He is with us. He's not watching from afar making commentary on our every move, He is right here right now, for us not against us, with future greatness and hope for us in His generous hands. Christmas marks the start of the greatest miracle to ever take place. Our Saviour Jesus Christ, taking on human form, to make a way of Grace for you and I to live in relationship with Him. God is so personal, so instrinsicly involved and ever always deeply in love with you and I.
I love Christmas, I love the beautiful chaos it often creates… But just know in the midst of it all, no matter how many or how few gifts you've bought or received, whatever you have to organize and prepare, whatever your family situation looks like… Immanuel – God is with us. Love and peace. xo
