Living and Powerful

John 1 says that God was with the the word and God was the word. That being said you can now understand how His words have the power to reach deep inside a person and shift and change things that the words of men can't do. The word of God has great power and there's evidence of lives changed by it, salted across every century and decade for the last two thousand years. Although the word has had such a big influence on humanity it's also very personal and can have an incredible impact on you. When you allow it in, it will go about touching on areas of your life you didn't even know needed changing. Or areas you weren't brave enough to venture on your own. It's never condemnation…only healthy conviction that exists in order change us for the glory of God. One of the cool features of the Bible is that you can't just flip to a chapter on baptism or giving. Every theme is so tightly interwoven into it that if you removed some pages you'd still find the themes and essence in other parts. It's so like God to make it indestructible and eternal…like Him. To weave in all of His nature so that it can't be separated. I'm personally blown away at how the word always bubbles up in me at the right time….passages and promises I didn't even know I knew, just seem to float to the surface of my heart at exactly the right time to encourage and strengthen me. The word is also an anchor for us too. When situations and feelings seem to take us off track it's the Holy Spirit and His word (of which is Holy Spirit inspired anyway) that gives us a direction and resolve. It never returns to Him void and always accomplishes what it set out to achieve. Allow the Living Word to penetrate your life today…and EVERYDAY! In Jesus name…we love you…
