God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

Have you ever told a lie? Has anyone ever lied to you??? It's almost impossible for us, as humans, to comprehend the idea of complete and outright truth! Why? Because all of us have never experienced it! The human mind works in this peculiar yet powerful way; as we go through life we create ‘filters' with each experience. That ‘filter' taints or bends the way we perceive each piece of new information or new experience. Once you've lived for a while you end up with a bunch of experiences essentially creating ‘filters' layered upon one another. An easier way to understand this is to imagine each experience you have as a new set of glasses over your eyes. A good experience would be rose coloured lenses and a bad experience would be a dark tinted lens. Each new experience is like another set of glasses over the last set and over time, you see life through these multi-layered lenses. It makes it hard to see a new experience as fresh. The same happens to us when we come to God. When our whole experience is that people lie and let us down, how can we imagine that He won't do the same? This passage in Numbers says “God is not a man that He would lie”. Straight up there's a difference between Him and every other interaction that you and I have ever had. He's not human. When His word says “I will never leave you nor forsake you…” You CAN trust it! When He says “ask and it shall be given…” BELIEVE IT! When the word says we can do “all things through Christ..” It's dependable! God can't and won't lie. It's not His nature and He has and will continue to come through for you! Don't ever give up! We're so grateful for you all and pray for you daily…much love…
