For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13 (NIV).
Many many times I have opened the Psalms and poured over these verses in Ps 139 when I've been in doubt of my own value and purpose. But its also good to look at others through these verses. Every person was created carefully, strand by strand, cell by cell, on purpose for purpose. When you knit, you actually weave together chosen strands of wool… its not factory made by a machine, but hand made… And in the case of Father God, we are hand made with hands of kindness, strength and vision. Every person who has has ever lived, is living now, and who is yet to breathe on this earth was, is and will be created in this fashion. We all started the same. No matter where we were born into, what social status we arrived to, or race, colour, culture… we all started in the heart of Father God and our home is there also. The things that separate us is not so much about lifestyle, race, colour, country, poverty, wealth, but about the misplacement and misunderstanding of community – the value of others outside of ourselves.
Life's true wealth is not material, but can be found in the internal fabric of every human being. So when you see people all over the world in need, don't be overwhelmed with the issue, and don't thoughtlessly, through the busyness of our own lives, forget them and pass them off. We are all made of the same stuff by the same God, placed on the same earth to shine forth the same Glory. So let compassion drive you to place value on others… through prayer and acts of kindness. Love you guys.
