“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn
you and continued My faithfulness to you.” (Jeremiah 31:3 AMP)
Kindness is simple… Smile at a stranger, genuinely compliment friend, cook a meal for someone facing hardship… It's rather simple, but it's impact is powerful. Kindness can lift the broken heart, ease someone's pain, cut through self doubt, bring friends together, shift perspectives, allow forgiveness to flow, places value on the self-doubter, bridges racial and social divides, encourages, inspires, warms… No matter where you go, the language of kindness is always impacting.
Of late though, I have been reminded of the kindness of God. His language, His affection, His disposition, His heart, His hands are full of kindness and are actually kindness. Kindness originated in the heart of Father God. In His pursuit of you, me… of others, kindness is his offensive and defensive weapon. It's kindness that he wields in His strong hands to draw us to himself. Things in life may not seem kind, they may not end well and we may challenge God and His heart toward mankind… But no matter what the circumstance, when you engage Jesus, you will be met with kindness. Not judgement, not condemnation, not a verbal liturgy of all your wrong doings… But strong, beautiful, circumstance defying kindness. He is kind and He does good things… I'm reflecting on that today. Peace and love xxoo
