Jim Elliot – Cannot Lose

Jim Elliot was a missionary to the Waodani people of Equador in the 50's. With a group 5 other courageous men they commenced operation Auca in September 1955 – evangelizing a remote and ‘untouched by the western world' people group. They made small steps of contact and were very slowly gaining ground when all 5 men were killed by the Auca's on Jan 8 1956. Jim Elliot was just 28 years old. His story, and those of his comrades, can be seen in the movie ‘End of the Spear' or the doco “Beyond the Gates of Splendour”. Challenging. Inspiring. Encouraging.
