The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 is a directive, a mission, a challenge. Especially those first few words “Go into ALL the wold”… I've been challenged recently on my ‘going into all'… It can be really easy to stay put in our churches and in our homes… restrict who we associate with to avoid sin, and live neat, clean lives. But I've grown so dissatisfied with that sort of life… And the more I study scripture, I realize Jesus lived out the Great Commission for us as an example to follow – He didn't just talk to people in the synagogues… In the safe and clean places… He met real people, with real needs right where they were at with no conditions or strings attached. Messy, beautiful people – Tax collectors, prostitutes, theives, beggars… He didn't just go up to them… He got into their lives – involved, interested and genuine. Please – I'm not saying go into the world and be of the world… I'm not saying go and sin to spread the gospel – don't compromise your convictions. But I am suggesting, hoping, that we can open our eyes a little more today and even more tomorrow to the people around us. Drop the judgement and see – The people on instagram, on FB and Twitter… The people who serve you at the checkout or at the movie theatre – these are real people who need Jesus. Be encouraged that Christ the Hope of all the world – He lives in you… And He is indeed the HOPE for ALL… Love you guys, thank you so much for your support and your love. You mean the world to us xxoo
