I've been camping in the bush several times and after a few days without a shower, living off basic food and not getting a lot of sleep, you feel pretty “old”. Getting home and having a nice hot shower and and good night's sleep always gets back that “fresh” feeling. It's not hard for life to feel old, used, battered and bruised! The ‘new' feeling often seems like it's so far out of reach. Just going through a normal day can expose us to so many hurts and bad choices leaving us feeling empty and hopeless. But there is One who brings eternal hope, that is, hope that doesn't ever expire or run out! It's this hope that freshens that darkened soul. It's the sin-nature in humanity that removes the ‘shine', that new and fresh feeling in life. No matter what choices or circumstances have “aged” you, Jesus makes all things new. Maybe you've experienced far too much for some one your age, Jesus makes all things new. Feeling battered and bruised…Jesus makes all things new! He has dealt with sin, the abrasive agent that roughens life so come to Him all who are weary and heavy laden…He will give you rest and make you new! We love you and are praying you have a brilliant, Jesus-centered day!
