Romans 5… AMAZING! If you have a chance read the whole thing today…In verse 3 it says that we can rejoice in trials… Yep… I KNOW! But we CAN rejoice in trials. They produce gold within us. With God on our side, when we go through challenges and trials, good WILL come of them. We don't live in a day and age that would naturally see great opportunity and growth in a challenging situation. But the bible says in Romans that those seasons we go through, the moments of heartache, hard work, tough decisions etc… they actually produce first endurance, strength of character and then confident HOPE of our salvation in Jesus Christ. I'm not saying God orchestrates trials in our lives on purpose… But He is not a wasteful God, and can turn any situation around for our good. It goes on to say in Romans 5:5 “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” The hope we ha ve in Jesus is not a vain hope, a false hope, or a wishful hope… It is powerful, strong, and sure – Activated by trust and faith, walked out by grace, and empowered by His great love. Don't put your hope in material possessions, money, even your own success or abilities, OR even in others, where you can experience great disappointment. Put your hope in Jesus Christ, you will not be disappointed in this life or the next. Enjoy this day, choose to see it and the coming weeks with great hope. Love ya's.
