Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. (Deuteronomy 11:18 NIV).

I've read on Pinterest so many quotes that said “it's no coincidence that the ‘studying' has the word ‘dying' in it”! Haha!! Studying has got a bad rap over the years as something boring and tedious. But it doesn't have to be so! When you first fall in love, or you find a grand passion in life, you find yourself studying… It's no less with Jesus. In the Kingdom of God it's actually part of our worship. And it simply starts with the question “I want to know more”. Don't worry too much about highlighters and note taking, but start to fill yourself, study, read, give yourself to, yearn to understand, seek out, pour over, digest, consume, listen to the word of God. Fix His words in your hearts and minds, bind them to yourself so that you keep His words at the forefront of your living. When someone says thats God's not real – you have His word at hand, in fact alive in your heart testifying that He is. When you're told you're not worthy, you have His word etched into your heart that you were adopted into the Kingdom of Heaven and are a son/daughter of the Most High God. When you're challenged, downtrodden, confused, seeking wisdom, in need of healing and encouragement, direction, inspiration, divine peace – you have His word fixed – immovable, unshakable, indelible – in your heart and mind encouraging onward and upward. John 1:1 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It goes onto to say in V14 “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” Jesus and His word are one and the same… the words on the page of your Bible are not just pen and ink, but are the written expression of Christ Himself wanting to jump off the page and into your heart… So give it a go, read it, pour over His words… Study never seemed so amazing… love you guys. xo
