“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Ps 91:1
Where you “dwell” speaks of where you spend most of your personal time. Your sleeping, eating and everyday time. Your dwelling place is actually an intimate part of your life. It's where those closest to us see us for real. Warts and all. Strengths and faults. Happy and sad. So what does your “dwelling” look like when it comes to the secret place of your heart? Is it focused on how attractive you are (or not) or what people think of you? Perhaps it's how much money you'll make in that next big deal or how you can solve a relationship issue at work or school. These are all great things to think on and aim for but this passage says “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High…” – it's saying when we spend our intimate thought life focused on God, on seeking what He wants and sees for our lives AND what He wants and sees for others lives we'll then come under His shelter. Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High means bringing our thought life into line with His.Thinking “God thoughts” about our future. It's in that place we find the resolve for all the other places. The provision & the relationship issues…all those answers are found under the shadow of the Almighty. Today shift your focus (read dwelling place) from what you can do, to what He can do. It will revolutionise your life and set you on the path God intended for you!
