Grace upon Grace

For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. (John 1:16 AMP)

WOW!!! John 1 is all about the sovereignty of Jesus and the intimate personable Christ who came to earth and dwelt among us as the Word personified. Incredible verses… God is all powerful, eternal… But also desires to BE with us – to live with us – empower us with ALL that He is. I love ‘Grace upon Grace'… You don't just get a little, or just enough, but in line with the very nature of Christ, there is an abundance of Grace flowing over your life. Grace does not come as a free pass to sin, it frees us from the control and oppression of sin. Grace is his unmerited favour. Undeserved, freely given, empowering. God extends His favour to us simply because we are the object of his affections. We are favoured, graced, because of His great love – it has nothing to do with justice, or earning. The more you know Jesus, the more you realise how graced and favoured you are by God. As he reveals himself to you and as you get to know understand God through the different seasons and moments you face, you will see that His grace is thick and layered… not thinly spread. Its grace upon grace! Favour upon favour lavishly poured out to us. There is Grace upon grace for the season of life you're in, the decisions you have to make, and the circumstance you face – live in it today. We love you – believe in you. xo
