Eph 6:15 Amp “And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy
with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the
good news] of the Gospel of peace.”
Peace is defined in the dictionary as: “in a state of nonbelligerence or concord; not at war; untroubled; tranquil; content.” In an earthly sense we equate peace to the absence of conflict and trouble. Ease and rest. But the word of God uses the word ‘Peace' at a deeper level. This verse is a part of the passage in Ephesians explaining to us the Armour of God. You don't need armour unless you are facing conflict. And peace is part of that armour… it's the part that covers our feet. Our feet take us to the ‘fight' and walk us through the conflict. The peace of God goes beyond the natural circumstances of the state of the world and our own lives. It's a peace of the heart that trancends circumstance. You could be at war, and still have peace in your heart – the peace of the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Allow peace to prepare and ready you, give you stability of heart and mind, and carry into every situation. The Peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guards our heart and minds, and keeps our spirit level and untainted no matter what the turbelance is like around us,. It fills us with the eternal hope of salvation and the current rescue of our sin and condemnation. Peace isn't the absence of conflict… It's the assuarance that no matter what the conflict, God is still on the throne, still loves us fiercely, and has already won the final victory.
Whatever you are facing today, allow the Gospel of Peace to carry you to it, through it, and beyond it. Love you heaps xo
