This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Josh 1:9)
These words are the encouragement of God to Joshua as he says goodbye to Moses and leads the children of Israel into the promised land – new season, new challenges, uncharted territory. Following God and the plans He has for you will mean stepping out into the unknown. Doing things that seem way out of your depth and comfort zone. Sometimes it even means stepping into things, confident in His word, but unsure of how it will actually work. This is living in the God-zone!!! But when there’s no way except God, then all the glory is His and YOU KNOW you’re living in His will. It’s uncomfortable. It’s exciting. It’s an adventure and it means letting go of the control and the fear and trusting that God is going before you. ‘The God Gap” is when it’s impossible for you but if it comes off, nobody but God can get the glory! While I’m writing this I really feel the Holy Spirit prompting to speak to anyone journeying the unknown… you’ve found yourself in a position you never thought you would be in… It’s simple and it’s this scripture: “For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” – We absolutely love you guys and are so committed to using His Word to uplift, inspire and encourage you all.

This is truly speaking to me because I’ve been living inside my comfort zone (boat)and refuse to walk on water because there’s waves of fears, anxieties issues, doubts, insecurities, and discouragements that is hindering me to the trust on the Lord completely. I constantly pray to God to empower me through the Holy Spirit to break this form of thinking and to be in perfect peace that will calm these waves (at least). Thank You for the encouragement and keep up the good work.
Last night I could not sleep. I prayed to God to help me do his will without doubting myself. Doubting myself because of the fear and un comfort level of the unknown. I stumbled to this website but by no mistake. Thank you heavenly father. You truly get all the glory.

Hey Lucy
So glad to hear of it!
God has not created you for fear and in-fact His word says that His perfect love casts it out. I encourage you to allow His love to wash over you and give you a perfect peace about the road for you ahead!

Thank you for this devotional. Life indeed has taken many twists and turns, but since I was born again in the summer of 2013, He has girded me with a strength and peace and fortitude that anchors my soul through all circumstances. In many ways, I now look forward to the opportunities of faith and growth through trials and crises, because I have chances to glorify Him in how I approach them. But the flesh is quick to let exhausting sorrow, doubt, fear, and more creep in on the surface, and if left unchecked, will seep deeper and deeper. Pocket Fuel’s devotionals are among the ways God is using people as His hands and feet to keep us grounded when the world (and its ruler) would love to fool us into doom and gloom. I hold fast to my identity in Christ, His promises, and unswerving belief in, and unceasing prayer for, an ever more victorious future glorifying Christ and His finished work for us all. Thank you again!
