Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Psalm 107:1
Thankfulness is a powerful position to live from. Yes, it's a position. You can choose to be thankful in all circumstances, and it goes beyond seeing the cup as half full instead of half empty.
Ps 100:4 says we “Enter His gates with thanksgiving”… the gateway to the presence of God is thankfulness. Being thankful brings a peace to your heart and a hope to your spirit. It helps you see beyond the here and now and into the endless possibilities of an unlimited Christ. We have MUCH to be thankful for… yes, we go through trying times, deep tragedies, and challenging moments, but in every season, we can thank God for Jesus if nothing else, and Jesus is in fact all we need – right?!
Give thanks to Lord – generously, thickly, honestly… turn your heart towards Him thanking Him for all that He has done, is doing and will do. He is a good God – HE IS A GOOD GOD! Jeremiah 29:11 says “I know the plans I have you… Plans for good and NOT for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. God is good and He does good, and He has good in store for you. Sometimes we can only see that goodness through the focus of thankfulness. If you have trouble believing in the goodness of God, just start thanking Him – thank Him for salvation. Thank Him for Jesus Thank Him for His peace… and His goodness will start to become visible to you. It is, after all, all around you.
His love endures… it does not fade, rust, run out, go out of date, shrink, malfunction, dissipate, run away, abandon, lie, deceive… it endures – through all circumstance, every season – His love endures always. Enter His presence by thanking Him for His unfailing and enduring love… Then allow His presence and love to highlight to you other areas of your life that you can be thankful for.
There is always always ALWAYS something to give God thanks for. Love you guys, have an awesome day.

This was such a great devotional. I liked when you said, “… in every season, we can thank God for Jesus if nothing else…” because giving thanks to God is very difficult for us as people because we have such a narrowed and warped view of who God is and who He should be to us.
I was wondering if I could reference this devotional in a Thanksgiving-themed blog post that is going to be posted on Friday? because I think everyone should know what thankfulness is and who we should give our thankfulness too.
Yes no problems! We just appreciate you referencing us as the source and giving your audience a link back to our website. Thank you so much for sharing. Much love.
It’s not a problem at all. I want people to see how much God is using you to impact lives including mine. I like to reference your devotionals in my blog posts because I feel that everyone should read them.
