For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. Prov 24:16 (ESV).

One of the most powerful aspects of being a Christian is that ‘the power that raised Christ from the dead now dwells in us' (Rom 8:11). It has to be an overcoming power if it raised Jesus, and God knows we need ‘overcoming power’ to get through this life! Psalm 23 says “surely His goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!”. I believe that ‘goodness’ is actually His overcoming power. Our first thought when we hear the word ‘good’ is a life of leisure – one where we want for nothing… sounds awesome doesn’t it? But put it in context of this verse again “Surely a life of leisure and least resistance will follow me all the days of my life”. Doesn’t really sound like the spirit this verse is implying does it? Ultimately His goodness is ‘God-potential’, that overcoming power. God-strength in human-weakness. The ability to get back up again every time you’re knocked down. In your own strength it probably sounds impossible but add Jesus to the mix and ‘all things are possible!’ Make sure you live every day accessing His goodness and live fully in the power of an overcoming life… in Jesus name. We love you guys. Believing today will be exceptional for you…
